Snowfall Forecast

Parts of Northeast Ohio are under a Snowfall Forecast. It consists of Lake County, Ashtabula Lakeshore County, and Ashtabula Inland County. The National Weather Service warns that significant lake-effect snow could fall in some locations if snowfall exceeds 7 inches.

A snowstorm watch is in effect from Wednesday evening through Thursday evening. Some areas may experience snow on Tuesday night, even though the winter storm watch doesn’t take effect until Wednesday evening.

As the winter weather event draws nearer, the National Weather Service predicts that more counties may be added.

For updates, keep checking FOX 8 Weather. Snowflakes and a few freezing showers are forecast for Tuesday night. Not anticipating more than a slushy dusting of accumulation. Tonight, the temperature will drop to just below freezing.

Tomorrow morning will be quiet, and highs will be in the mid to upper 30s. Most of us will see gloomy weather as Lake effect snow begins to fall Wednesday into Thursday. Our primary Snowbelt locations anticipate 3-6 inches of snowfall, but most of us will experience a trace.

Snowfall Forecast

Before the lake effect snow machine starts Wednesday night into Thursday with a west wind, it is dry early on Wednesday. Southward accumulations will be minimal. There are several inches for Cleveland, northern Medina, Summit, and Portage Counties.

Parts of Lake and Ashtabula counties, where 3-6′′ of snow is anticipated by Friday, may experience the worst effects. Through the weekend, significantly below-average temperatures are predicted.
