It may not be as popular as it used to be, but we’ll still see a lot more zombie action in the near future. The third installment in the State of Decay series is currently being developed by Undead Labs, which is expected to feature a diverse cast of survivors taking on wandering undead as they try to build a home in a terrible world. If you haven’t already seen it, each of the games in the series so far has been a blend of action-adventure (with elements of survival horror), stealth, role-playing, and strategy.
We still don’t know much about State of Decay 3, but we’ve been scavenging the wasteland for whatever information we can find. Everything we know about State of Decay 3 so far.
Release Date Of State Of Decay 3
Microsoft has yet to announce a release date for State Of Decay 3, and the COVID-19 epidemic may mean that we’ll have to wait a little longer before we hear anything further. According to VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb, a series of titles, including (Everwild, Fable, Avowed, and more), are ‘anticipated to arrive in 2023,’ but State of Decay 3 isn’t one of them. Is it closer than we anticipated, or is it farther away than we anticipated?
What Can We Expect
Despite the lack of specifics in the clip, it seems like the future game will take place in a lonely and rural setting. An infected deer is seen devouring the wolf’s carcass in the trailer, implying that the infection has extended to animals as well as the remaining human population. As a result, the trailer’s protagonist is shown over a campfire in the woods, indicating that the franchise’s essential survival themes are likely to be retained.
Production :
Game publisher Xbox Game Studios will publish State of Decay 3, which will be available for the Xbox Series X, Series S, and PC platforms. It seems improbable that the game will be published at a time in which new games are still being produced for last-generation devices.

Multiplayer in State Of Decay 3
There were various options to play with friends or join strangers in their games despite the fact that State of Decay 2 was mostly a lonely experience. Following the launch of your campaign, you may ask a buddy to join you by taking control of another survivor in your town.
There were, however, a few weaknesses in the system that needed to be addressed. Due to the fact that the incoming player is attached to the host, if they go too far away from the host, they will black-screen and return to a location adjacent to the host. Consequently, there was limited room on the map for totally fresh exploration, and the tethering system made escaping from hordes of zombies a bit too simple in certain instances.
A player may also send a call for aid on the State of Decay servers by using the in-game radio, which would then enable any other online player to join in and take part in their combat.
Gameplay
There are currently no particular gameplay information available, however we anticipate that the heart of State of Decay 3 will seem quite similar to the games that came before it in terms of visual style. Controlling a tiny community of survivors, players will scour the landscape for resources to keep them alive, more lost souls to bring into their fold, and plenty of Plague Hearts to destroy in the midst of hordes of zombies to do so.
A few areas fans hope to receive an upgrade include the game’s base-building system (which was a little clumsy in SOD2), more comprehensive customization choices for weapons, automobiles, outfits, etc., and a little more character development.
While the characters in SOD2 had lots of background stories to tell and quirky one-liners that gave them a touch of life, there was essentially little change to them throughout the course of the game and very few moments when characters truly connected. If a longtime member of the community is taken out by a stray plague zombie, the remainder of the crew would have poor morale for a day or two and maybe offer a single sorrowful line, but then it was back to business.

End Lines
The Wall is the last plot objective in State of Decay. It is also the most difficult. It entails demolishing the concrete wall that stands between the sole route out of Trumbull Valley and the rest of the world. Two (randomly selected) survivors from the player’s community will become unavailable prior to the start of this assignment.
