Around 11 a.m., a collision was reported near Peavine Road and State Road 60, according to Florida Highway Patrol. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an SUV in a westbound lane was struck by the front of a sedan traveling east on SR-60 as it attempted to pass another vehicle.
The sedan left the pavement and turned over due to the incident. According to Florida Highway Patrol, two more vehicles were struck by crash debris. The 4-month-old baby girl and the 22-year-old Miami woman operating the vehicle perished there.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an adult and a 1-year-old daughter, both occupants in that vehicle, were brought to the hospital with serious injuries. The SUV driver and a passenger with critical wounds were also taken to the hospital.
The passenger is reportedly in stable condition, while the driver is in serious condition. The two vehicles that collided with the crash debris contained no injuries.
