Florida Highway Patrol reports that a man died after his SUV went off the road and slammed into a tree in Lake County on Friday afternoon.
The 52-year-old Paisley man was driving a Mazda CX-7 along County Road 42 before he crashed.
According to the report, the SUV went off the road and hit a tree near the intersection with State Road 44.
Authorities declared the man dead at the scene.
Attempts are still being made by troopers to identify what led to the SUV going off the road.
