One more day, one more Harlan Coben Netflix drama that we’re all enamored with. An Eight-part adaptation of the best-selling mystery novel Stay Close is this time around. Since the show premiered on Netflix at the end of December, the only topic of conversation has been if there will be a second season.
As a result, here’s everything we know so far about a prospective Stay Close season two, from the release date to the cast and potential storylines.
Stay Close Season 2 Release Date
But the answer is, regrettably, no. There has been no information about a possible second season since the first aired on Netflix on December 31st, 2021. No second series of Harlan Coben’s Netflix shows have been created even though both Safe and The Stranger have had comparable success.
However, there is still hope for the future. There have been rumors that six more (!) adaptations of his novels are in the works and that he inked a five-year deal with Netflix to do so back in 2018. So, while it isn’t a sequel, it may be able to satisfy your curiosity.
It is revealed in the finale that Lorraine (Sarah Parrish), who was imprisoned in an abusive relationship, is responsible for all of the killings. Stewart Green, a fan of Megan’s pseudonym Cassie, was the first victim of her vengeance.
Lorraine then drives Megan to the woods to view his body, hoping that it will release her, but it actually frightens her, causing her to flee the scene.. Because of this, the flashbacks show Ray covered in blood as he disposes of Stewart’s body.
We learn at the end that Dave accidentally drowned Carlton in the car’s trunk when he pushed it into the lake. As a result of Lorraine’s actions in protecting the girls rather than blaming herself for Carlton’s murder, she ends up being held responsible for his death. Even though Dave has been exposed, will their relationship be the same?
Stay Close Season 2 Storyline
Richard Armitage, the actor who portrays Ray, is excited about the possibility of a second season of the series. According to him, “You don’t see him in the car, you don’t actually see the action happen; it’s all in the viewer’s imagination.” Stay Close 2 may have another great start with him not knowing what he’s done.
In an interview, Kayleigh Antonia, Bethany Antonia’s daughter, said that the second season could begin by jumping forward in time. It’ll come back to bother them, Antonia predicts, but it won’t be for a long time. Seeing a yellow automobile will bring back all the memories for Kayleigh when she’s 35 when she’s getting married.

Stay Close Season 2: What’s the deal with “Stay Close”?
In the official summary, “Stay Close asks how much you actually know someone. With hallmark thrills, riveting tension, and a case to solve. Even those closest to the characters in the film, including Megan (Cush Jumbo), Ray (Richard Armitage), and Broome (James Nesbitt), are unaware of the dark secrets that each possesses, they are all leading comfortable lives, but they each harbor dark secrets that even they are unaware of.
What will they do when the ghosts of their past resurface, threatening to wreak havoc on their lives and the lives of those around them?

Final Words
However, Netflix is yet to announce if Stay Close will be renewed or not for a second season in the same manner as past Harlan Coben adaptations like The Stranger and The Woods.
But Richard Armitage tells RadioTimes.com there remains a “small little door open” for a follow-up after the climactic twist, which revealed Dave to be a wholly unknowing murderer.
I enjoy how you don’t see what he’s done. It’s such a fantastic twist, he continued. You just know that someone was in the car’s trunk.
No one sees him in the car, and nothing happens in real-time; it’s all in the viewer’s head. Even if he doesn’t know what he has done, which I believe is a fantastic opening for maybe Stay Close 2 – who knows?”
A huge time jump, according to co-star Bethany Antonia, is the greatest way to explore the next chapter in the Shaw family’s lives.
According to Antonia’s hunches, “I suppose it will come back to haunt them, but only after a long time.” I think Kayleigh’s wedding is going to happen around the time she’s 35, and then she’s going to see a yellow automobile and it’ll bring back all the memories.”
