Here we are talking about Step Up High Water Season 4. Season three of the popular drama Step Up: High Water debuted on Starz last week. Many viewers have questioned whether the program will be renewed for another season as they head back to Atlanta.
Thank goodness Holly Sorensen, the show’s creator has been transparent about the show’s future. Sunday saw the release of the third season of Step Up High Water, eagerly anticipated by fans who had been waiting since 2019. Despite its cliffhanger, fans were disappointed by YouTube Originals’ decision to cancel the show after the jaw-dropping finale.
There was anticipation when Starz said they would continue the drama for a third season but had to halt filming because of the epidemic. The Step Up production experienced significant heartbreak as the TV and movie industries returned to work and could film with the necessary precautions. Following a fatal boating accident, Colette Jones’ on-screen co-star Naya Rivera was declared dead in July 2020.
As a result, the cast and crew took some time to mourn before looking for the actress who would fill her role. Fortunately for fans, it was revealed that Colette would continue to be portrayed by Christina Millian in the series.

After being unfairly imprisoned for the murder of Ernest Octavio, Sage Odom (played by Ne-Yo) finally had his long-awaited premiere, giving viewers a glimpse into what would become of him (R Marcos Taylor).
Season three was discussed in an interview with actress Christina Milian and playwright and producer Holly Sorensen for Express.co.uk. Holly responded when asked if there might be a fourth installment: “I just hope there is one; there are cliffhangers galore; it’s a wild season.”
“Gotta get people to start watching; it’s a season worthy of a season,” Christina continued. The arrest caught Sage off guard because he had been preparing for the tour, and it came as a great shock because Colette had fired the gun.
Sage was arrested for murder as the episode began, but the High Water students were unaware of this because Colette had taken over the reins, and the tour had started without him.
Rapper Rigo Octavio (Terrance Green) and dancer Davis Jimenez (Carlito Olivero) stepped in for Sage as his supporters crowded the arena and suspicions about his whereabouts arose.
Sage had been given a bargain, but he turned it down. As a result, he was released on bail, and despite orders to stay in the state, he went and joined the tour.
Christina spoke candidly about assuming Naya’s role before appearing as Colette. “It was intriguing, and it was a lot of fun, but at the same time, knowing that it was an existing part and portrayed by Naya, I was a great fan of hers. We linked in so many ways; it was hard not to be a fan,” she admitted.
So, when it came to making a decision, I thought, “Yes, it was a great opportunity, but I’m like, this is a significant commitment because it’s large shoes to fill, and there are fans who are so passionate about the plot and her. What am I doing now? I had to solve the problem.
To sort things out, Christina said, “I first told myself to believe what is occurring here and why it has come to you, and it just started to make sense to me. Then the question arose, “How can I accomplish this and become my version of her without overshadowing what has transpired previously and yet tell this story? “
