The movie “Susuk” came out in 2023. It’s about a woman who tries to help her cursed sister, who is stuck between life and death. But when she tries to break the curse, it causes chaos in the town. Ginanti Rona directed the movie, and Husein M. Atmodjo wrote the script.
Hana Malasan, Ersya Aurelia, and Jourdy Pranata play the lead roles in the movie. Two sisters are at the center of the story. Because of a curse, one of them is stuck between life and death. While her sister tries to help her, she ends up doing something that she didn’t mean to do.

Susuk Ending Explained
At the end of the movie “Susuk,” Ayu tries to free her sister Laras from the evil ghost that is controlling her. They go to where their mother was buried in the hopes that the evil will stay there. They face many problems along the way, such as attacks from locals who want them to leave.
When they get to the grave, Laras is already awake and attacking them. When Ayu sees that the evil is linked to their mother, she plans to push Laras into the grave with her. This seems to free Laras from the darkness that had been holding her.
After burying Laras and their mother together, Ayu goes back to her normal life, which is shown by her cleaning herself up in the mirror of a cab. It seems like Ayu may have lost everyone she cared about because of the susuk, which is a charm needle that can bring good luck or bad luck.
It’s a warning about what can happen when you try to be beautiful no matter what. Some questions are left open about whether the evil was a possession or something else, but at its core, the movie is about what happens when you’re too proud of yourself and how important it is to accept yourself just the way you are.
