Family members of the victim, 52-year-old Juan Santiago, say they are devastated and still in disbelief that the victim’s son, 18-year-old Jonny Santiago, is the suspect in the killing. The body of the victim was discovered wedged in some bushes on the edge of Orange County’s Lake Avalon the day before.
