Hudson Joseph Meek, a teen actor who has appeared in the film “Baby Driver” and the “MacGyver” reboot, has died tragically at age 16 due to an accident in Alabama. According to reports, Meek sustained fatal injuries after falling from a moving vehicle in Vestavia Hills.
Promising Career Cut Short
Hudson Joseph Meek began acting in 2014 and immediately appeared in the TV movie “The Santa Con”. He also acted the role of young Baby in Edgar Wright’s “Baby Driver”, one showcasing his potential in Hollywood. Further notable works include a series of “MacGyver”, “Genius”, and recently “The School Duel”.
A number of projects were lined up for release in 2025, and this young actor was at work. Meek was hardworking and charismatic on sets, leaving an impression on every cast and crew he worked with.

A student at Vestavia Hills High School, Meek was an ardent lover of acting, but he also played football. Confident, quick-witted, and spontaneous, friends and family remembered him as a person who blossomed in social settings and brought laughter and joy wherever he went.

J Pervis Talent Agency, who represented Meek, described him as a “beloved member of their community.” He was driven, kind and had an ability to light up whatever room he walked into, they said.
Hudson’s death has created a void not only in the entertainment circle but also among his loved ones. He is survived by his parents, one older brother, both grannies, and a host of relatives. Further investigations are in process by the Vestavia Hills Police Department. For now, the community and fans have to come to terms with the loss of a young actor who died much too soon.
