ABC has renewed “The Conners” for the Fifth season. Deadline reports that the network has renewed the “Roseanne” spinoff for a fifth season after stars Sara Gilbert, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, and Lecy Goranson signed new contracts to continue playing the lovable but dysfunctional Conner family of Lanford, Illinois.
It’s not a big surprise that “The Conners” is coming back. Even though the show got off to a rough start when Roseanne Barr was fired for racist comments shortly after the original cast reunited for one season of the “Roseanne” reboot in 2018, it has been a rating hit. It is still ABC’s second-highest rated sitcom overall, according to Deadline. The Hollywood Reporter says that, on average, 4.84 million people watched the spinoff series each week during its first season. Not bad for a show that started because of a fight.

Season 5 of The Conners Plot?
The Conners is about the family and how they have changed since Roseanne died. In season 4, many of the characters got married. Dan married Louise, Sara married Ben, and Jackie married Neville. Harris and her boyfriend Aldo were the only ones who didn’t walk down the aisle.
Even though there isn’t an official synopsis or list of episodes for season 5, we can probably guess it will be about how the family is growing and changing things.
When will the Conners Season 5 Come Out?
ABC has not yet confirmed that The Conners will be back for a fifth season. No date has been set for the next season’s premiere in September 2022. It does not mean that the show is over. There has been no news about when the show’s next season will premiere. We will add more information to this post as soon as it is available.

What Other Actors/Actresses Are In The Conners?
John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, and Lecy Goranson return to the series in vital roles, while many other original cast members are also back. DJ from Roseanne and The Conners, Michael Fishman, is quitting the show before season 5, but, according to TV Line(opens in new tab), his departure is being left open so he may return.
Dan Conner, played by Goodman, is the family’s father; his adult children, Darlene (Sara Gilbert) and Becky (Lecy Goranson) are portrayed by actresses. After a long hiatus, Metcalf returns to her role as Jackie Harris, the aunt.
They also include a new generation of Conners as the main characters. The cast also features Jayden Rey as Mary Conner and Ames McNamara as Harris Conner-Healy. Rey, who played the daughter of DJ Conner (Fishman), will no longer be a series regular, though she is expected to make occasional guest appearances.
The Conner family has grown through marriage, so fans can expect to see familiar faces like Jay R. Ferguson’s Ben, Katey Sagal’s Louise, and Nat Faxon’s Neville. No word yet on who else will be making an appearance or making their return. As more details become available, we will post them here.
