If you like Love period dramas? Then, wait for HBO’s new show The Glided Age to come out. The show was set to air on NBC in 2018, but in 2019, it was moved to HBO. On February 14, 2022, the HBO series was given the green light for the second season of production. The shooting of episodes for the second season began in May 2022 and will take place in both New York and Rhode Island.
In season 2, “The Gilded Age” will have even more glam, drama, and glitz. The show is written by Julian Fellowes. The author says that she has always been very interested in American history, and she was finally able to share that interest with the audience. The second season was also ready to air soon after the first season came out.
The Gilded Age Season 2 Plot
The first season tells the story of a young woman named Marian Brook, who after the death of her father, relocated from Pennsylvania to live with her wealthy aunts Agnes van Rhijn and Ada Brook. The story began when Marian’s father passed away. The season came to a dramatic end with a dramatic finale that saw Marian’s love life in shambles. This came after quite a few shocking revelations and glamorous balls.
After the first season ended, there were many exciting storylines that were left unanswered. As a result, season two can pick and choose among many interesting possibilities to investigate. In the second season, Marian’s love life could be explored if that is the focus. Given the many surprises season, one held for Peggy Scott, particularly in regards to her long-lost son, it would be fascinating to see her character arc explored if the season focuses instead on other characters.
The producers of the show are, however, making every effort to keep details secret. In an interview with Deadline in March of 2022, Fellowes said. When asked about plans for the following year, we always respond, “We will never tell you.” In response to a question, however, co-writer Sonja Warfield suggested that Peggy’s character would get more attention.

The Gilded Age Season 2 Premiere Date
However, HBO has not yet announced when Season 2 of The Gilded Age will premiere. The premiere occurred in January of 2022, and the season ran through March of that year. Filming for Season 2 began in May of 2022, so we could see it premiere sometime in early 2023. Season 2 of Game of Thrones will consist of a set number of episodes, but HBO has not yet announced that number. There were 9 episodes total in the first season.

The Gilded Age Season 2 Cast
- Christine Baranski plays her character Agnes Van Rhijn. Agnes is a rich person who doesn’t like when things change.
- Agnes’s sister, Ada Brook, is played by Cynthia Nixon.
- Bertha Russell will be played by Carrie Coon. She comes from a normal family in the middle class.
- Morgan Spector, who was a robber baron in his prime, will play the part of George Russell.
- Peggy Scott, a young writer with big dreams, is played by Denée Benton.
- Louisa Jacobson draws her main heroine, Marian Brook, on a plate. She was born into an old family in Pennsylvania.
- Gladys Russell, who is played by Taissa Farmiga, comes from a wealthy family.
- Oscar Van Rhijn is Agnes Van Rhijn’s charismatic son, and Blake Ritson plays him on the show.
- Bannister, who is played by Simon Jones, is an Englishman who moved to America.
- Larry Russell, who is played by Harry Richardson, is a Harvard graduate who can’t wait to get a job.
- Tom Raikes is played by Thomas Cocquerel. He is a smart young lawyer from Doylestown, PA.
- The church is a role that Jack Gilpin plays. The church is an American family servant for Russell.
