The Great North Season 4 Plot
“The Great North,” much like the other shows in the Animation Domination family, is formatted as an episode-based sitcom. The majority of episodes can stand on their own, but certain characters may appear in multiple episodes or seasons. That means the storylines can develop in any crazy way imaginable, so long as they circle back to the original premise by the time the show is over.
Episodes from the first season of “The Great North” covered topics such as menstrual activism, moose attacks, and an anniversary party with a “Shrek” theme. Everything and I does mean everything, is up for discussion. The introduction of more indigenous characters and stories in future seasons of “The Great North” is something that many viewers and reviewers have wished for.

Daniel Fienberg of The Hollywood Reporter pointed out that the show only made a brief reference to the people who originally inhabited the state. “In one of the episodes, Judy pays respect to the people who originally inhabited the area, and I believe the mayor of Lone Moose is a Native American.
“That’s a side of the Alaskan reality that ‘The Great North’ probably needs to embrace,” he wrote, adding that if the show failed to include more actual Alaskan Native representation, it was in danger of becoming “‘Bob’s Burgers’ as reimagined by somebody who just watched ‘Northern Exposure,'” which is a comparison that he made.”
The show has already received praise for its sensitivity toward the LGBT+ community (via Pride), and now is the time for it to live up to its reputation as a “progressive cartoon utopia,” as described by Decider.
