Netflix shared the exciting news that the show would be back for a second season with a short clip of Garcia-Rulfo as Mickey sitting in the back of his car as he drove away. The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Renewed?
Yes. The Lincoln Lawyer will return for a second season on Netflix in June 2022. This is because the show is getting more and more fans and loyal viewers. You’ll be surprised to learn that the second season was renewed in June, less than a month after the first episode aired in May. This makes it one of the fastest renewals for Netflix.

What Could Happen in the Lincoln Lawyer’s 2 Season
The book The Brass Verdict was the basis for the first season of The Lincoln Lawyer. If the show follows the order of the books, it might be based on The Reversal, which is the third book in the series by Michael Connelly.
In “Reversal,” Haller goes after the criminal instead of defending him or her. In this part of the story, we meet Jason Jessup, who was convicted of killing a child but is set free after new DNA evidence proves he didn’t do it. Haller doesn’t believe that Jessup is innocent and thinks that if he gets the chance, Jessup will kill again.
Haller agrees to prosecute the case, but only if he can choose the LAPD detective who will work with him. Along comes Harry Borsch. Haller and Borsch work together to bring Jessup to justice and bring the case back to life.
In June 2022, it was confirmed that Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer would be based on the book The Fifth Witness. In The Fifth Witness, Haller defends his long-time client Lisa Trammel, who is suspected of killing a very wealthy man named Mitchell Bondurant. There is one strange thing about this case, though. The victim was a six-foot-two man, but he was killed by a hammer blow to the top of his head that came from behind.
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Release Date
Since The Lincoln Lawyer was just officially picked up for a second season, the filming won’t happen for a long time. Netflix Life says that the show might follow the rule that each year gets one season. So, the season is likely to start sometime in May 2023.
