The Mandalorian Season 3 will come out on a set date at last. The new episode will come out on March 1, 2023, as was announced at the Brazil Comic-Con. That might seem like a long time away, but there’s a lot of information out there about Mando and Baby Yoda’s new adventures to keep you busy until then. For one thing, you can watch the trailer below, which has everything from a live-action Mandalore to more Babu Friks. We also know about the new footage that was shown at Brazil Comic-Con behind closed doors.
Plus, we have a list of who is in the cast, all we know about the plot, and some exclusive quotes from Pedro Pascal, who plays Din Djarin. So, look no further for the most complete guide to Mando and Grogu’s return. Here is where you can find out everything you need to know about season 3 of The Mandalorian.
The Mandalorian Season Recap
The fight for the Darksaber is the most important storyline for Season 3. This legendary Mandalorian weapon is a sign of power, and the rightful ruler of Mandalore is the one who holds it. The Darksaber was in the hands of Moff Gideon until the end of Season 2 when Din Djarin won it in a fight. He then gave Bo-Katan the Darksaber, but she refused to take it. It looks like the only way for her to get the weapon and take the throne is to fight Din Djarin and win. That will be a problem in Season 3 of The Mandalorian. Din Djarin doesn’t want to be a leader, but he also can’t just throw the Darksaber into space. Also, Ahsoka has already mentioned Thrawn, so the EU character could also be involved in some way. And it looks like politics in Mandalore could be a part of the story when the show comes back.
And since we’re talking about Mandalore, we haven’t seen the Mandalorians’ homeworld in the show yet. Before the events of the series, the planet was destroyed by the Great Purge, an attack by the Empire. Most people in the galaxy, including the Mandalorian, think that Mandalore is a cursed world. But Bo-Katan is determined to take back the planet and unite the Mandalorians as one country. Mandalore will play an important role in the new season. Even though the Mandalorian will probably keep traveling, he will go back to his homeworld, most likely to meet with Bo-Katan.
Grogu’s return is another part of the story that fans would love to see. The little green kid is the show’s breakout star, so it would be a shame if he didn’t play a bigger role in Season 3. It also seems likely that the Mandalorian will get into more trouble with the Empire. Even though Moff Gideon was defeated, there are still some Imperial forces left in the galaxy. At some point, we’ll see how all of these pieces fit together, and the Mandalorian, whether he likes it or not, will find himself in the middle of everything.

When Will the Mandalorian Season 3 Come Out?
It’s good news that The Mandalorian Season 3 will air on Disney+ on March 1 of 2023. Though it will be some time before then, fans of the franchise do have additional material to look forward to. On January 4, 2023, a new season of the animated series Star Wars: The Bad Batch will debut with a special two-episode premiere.
The next installment of The Mandalorian would be released in time for Christmas Day 2021, according to Kathleen Kennedy, director of Lucasfilm, who made the announcement during Disney Investor Day in December 2020. She was referring to The Book of Boba Fett, a spinoff series that was hinted at in the Season 2 conclusion, according to producer Jon Favreau, who later explained this.
The Mandalorian’s Season 3 Cast?
As usual for this show (remember how each guest star in Season 2 was a surprise? ), we haven’t heard anything official about the cast for The Mandalorian Season 3. Fans can be sure that Pedro Pascal will be back as the main character, but no one has said who else will be back yet.
In the first two seasons, Giancarlo Esposito played the main bad guy, Moff Gideon. He has hinted that we will see more of him in future seasons. So he’ll probably be back for Season 3. Mando’s friend Greef Karga, who is played by Carl Weathers, will also be back. Bo-Katan Kryze, played by Katee Sackhoff, will be back on the show. The character has a long way to go in her journey, and it is said that in Season 3, she will be a major player.

After what happened in The Book of Boba Fett, it’s not clear if Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) will be back in Season 3. If Boba Fett does come back, it’s likely that Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) will come with him. This season, Christopher Lloyd and Tim Meadows have joined the cast in unspecified roles.
Gina Carano won’t play Cara Dune again. After she posted some bad things on social media, Disney and Lucasfilm cut all ties with the actor. As of now, it doesn’t look like the character will be recast, but it’s possible that will happen. Fans want to know if Grogu will come back in Season 3 of The Mandalorian. Those who saw the end of The Book of Boba Fett know that everyone’s favorite young Jedi has gone back to Din.
