This is AKRON, Ohio (WJW) reporting. Regarding the missing child out of Akron for whom an Amber alert had been issued, the police have decided to cancel the notice. Police tracked down the car and apprehended the suspect who they believed abducted the child, who was only four years old.
The arrest of 24-year-old Jose Castro was confirmed by police in Cleveland at 2 a.m. on Tuesday. Today, Castro has a court date at 9 a.m. The mother of the child, who is four years old, was shot and Castro is suspected of abducting the youngster.

Monday at around 7 o’clock, police were summoned to the 1100 block of Tulip Street, where they took the above photograph of Castro and released it to the public. Castro allegedly abducted the 4-year-old and the victim’s automobile but afterward gave the child back to the police. The kid was unharmed in any way.
Castro, though, continued to evade capture. When police discovered the car at a gas station on West 77th and Detroit Avenue around midnight, FOX 8 cameras were there to capture the moment. In footage taken at the scene, somebody may be seen riding a shotgun in the rear of a police car.
According to court documents, Jose Castro has been formally charged with kidnapping and felonious assault. His arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock. A history of drug misuse and aggravated threats is also available on the Akron Municipal website. The mother of the kid was sent to the emergency room in serious condition.
