The Rookie is no longer a new show on TV. After its fourth season, the crime drama on ABC is no longer a “rookie.” Alexi Hawley, who created the show, and Nathan Fillion, who plays the main character, have worked together before on the ABC show Castle.
The Rookie started airing on ABC in 2018, giving the network a police drama to go with Grey’s Anatomy and The Good Doctor, which were both medical dramas. There are a lot of people who like the show. Here’s everything we know about season 4 of The Rookie.
The Rookie Season 4 Plot
The main idea of The Rookie is that John Nolan decides to become an LAPD officer after an event that changes his life. The only problem is that he is in his 40s, which makes him the oldest new officer. Not only does he have to get used to his new job, but he also has to persuade his coworkers that this isn’t just a midlife crisis gone too far.
It’s safe to say that John has done that now that three seasons have passed. Now we get to see him and his team of cops go up against some of LA’s most dangerous criminals. This includes what happened in the season three finale, when crime boss Sandra de La Cruz, also known as “La Fiera,” got out of jail and kidnapped Angela before her wedding to Wes.
In the promo for The Rookie, the team finds Angela at a compound in Guatemala and heads there to save her. This is where season 4 will pick up. A radio call for an officer down, however, makes it seem like not everyone will make it out safely.

What Happened At The End Of Rookie Season 3?
Lucy goes undercover as a meth chemist to try to bring down a big meth ring. Tim and Harper let it happen because she has to steal to get what she wants. Lucy doesn’t check in at midnight, and they start to worry. Lucy is in the kitchen cooking when she hears gunshots. She tells Harper that Sandra De La Cruz, also known as “La Fiera” (Camille Guaty), has arrived. La Fiera is put in jail.
But the wedding was what the ending was mostly about. Angela and Wes were going to get married before their baby was born, but La Fiera took Angela from her dressing room and then ran away while being taken to jail.
In the same TVLine interview, Hawley said, “This is not the end of Lopez. It’s just a step up in the relationship they’ve had for pretty much the whole season.” “There is a bond, a friendship. They have become close because [La Fiera’s] son and [Angela’s] unborn child are the same age and because they are both Latinas.
Also in the finale, Nolan met his new neighbour Bailey (Jenna Dewan), who showed up at his house wearing only a towel. She was watching the house next door, but she got locked out. They agreed to meet.
Is the Rookie Season 4 Episode 23 Available?
No, episode 22 marked the official end of the season. The most recent episode, written and directed by Alexi Hawley, with the working title “Day in the Hole,” debuted on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Fans will be disappointed that the season won’t be continuing, but it’s exciting to know that ABC already ordered a fifth season of The Rookie in March 2022.
The latest season premiered with a 0.3 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.8 million viewers, according to Deadline, and the figures have remained consistent throughout subsequent episodes as well. But there’s more!
