ITV has decided to produce a second series of the enthralling crime drama The Tower after the first run of the show was met with such overwhelming acclaim. Following the success of The Tower, which was based on the first book in the Metropolitan series of novels by Kate London, the upcoming series The Tower II: Death Message will be adapted from the second novel in the Metropolitan series.

The case involves a domestic violence complaint against Mark Brannon (Charley Palmer Rothwell). In order for Lizzie and Arif to successfully place Mark under arrest, she must first persuade Georgina to reveal the truth about what Mark has done to her. However, once the issue is brought before the court, Lizzie will have to testify and be subjected to cross-examination, which would leave the outcome of the case hanging by a thread.
