The body of a man who was slain in a drive-by shooting in the North Side neighborhood of Chicago has been found.
Alejandro Garcia, 49, of North Chicago, died of numerous gunshot wounds following the Monday afternoon incident, according to Lake County Coroner’s Office officials. As the vehicle passed, someone inside opened fire on Garcia while he was mowing his lawn, according to the police report.

Authorities believe the victim was targeted, but they are still investigating the circumstances surrounding it. North Chicago Police and the Lake County Major Crime Task Force are still investigating the incident.
