Officials from Rock County responded to an incident involving two vehicles and three fatalities late on Saturday night. A collision involving two vehicles occurred at about 9:45 p.m. in Center Township on West State Highway 11 and North County Highway H. Rock County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel, arrived at the scene.
According to the findings of the authorities, a Nissan Maxima traveling southbound on North County Highway H disregarded the stop sign at West State Highway 11 and was involved in the accident. The Nissan was struck on the driver’s side by a Ford Escape that was traveling westbound on West State Highway 11 when it happened.

According to the authorities, both of the vehicles’ drivers as well as a passenger in the Nissan were pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. In order to treat their wounds, the driver and passenger of the Ford were sent to Mercy Hospital in Janesville. Two other passengers in the Nissan were also transported there.
During the several hours it took to clear the accident scene, the Rock County Highway Department forced traffic on West State Highway 11 to take another route. According to the officials, additional details regarding the collision, including the names of those who perished, may be made public at a later time.
