Attack on Titan is coming back for its final season in 2023, and the animation studio for the show has given us a new update on how far along they are in making it.
So, yes, the end is almost here, and this time it’s really going to happen. After two parts of the show’s fourth season and a very long wait, the show’s endgame will finally come to a close next year.
The new season of the popular anime hasn’t been talked about much, which is bad news for those of us who can’t wait to find out more. We’ve seen a tiny 15-second teaser and a huge new poster. You can see both of them below. We’ve also done our own detective work to figure out how many Attack on Titan episodes is left by putting together pieces from the source material.
All of this is in our guide to the Final Season Part 3 return of Attack on Titan. After you’re done with Titan, watch more of the best anime ever made. You’ll need something to fill the Titan-shaped hole in your heart.
Titans Season 4 Episode 7 Renewal Status
The Titans will come back in 2023 after its mid-season break. Fans of DC Comics shows on HBO Max will have to wait for a more specific date, but it’s not all bad news. The popular show Doom Patrol will take over for its fourth season while Titans are on break.
Like Titans, the first two episodes of Doom Patrol season 4 will air at the same time on December 8, 2022. After episode 6 airs on January 5, 2023, the show will take a break until the second half of the season.
Part 2 of season 4 of Titans is likely to come back after Doom Patrol. After showing one of its popular shows, you’d think HBO Max would want to keep the DC momentum going, so it would make sense to bring it back soon.
If we had to guess, Titans season 4 might come out after the Harley Quinn Valentine’s Day special. Harley Quinn usually airs on the Thursday slot that Titans and Doom Patrol will be using, so after Harley’s special (if it does come out on a Thursday), there won’t be any competition for the slot.
their toughest battle yet.

Attack on Titan Final Season Storyline
Don’t worry, we’re not going to give anything away about a manga here. First of all, it’s clear that the war between the island of Paradis and Marley, which has been going on for years, is coming to an end. The big question about Part 3 is how everything turns out.
Eren has started the Rumbling, a move that will destroy the world and use the Titans trapped inside the walls of Paradis as his own army. Eren wants to kill everyone outside of Paradis so that, in his mind, his friends can live free lives and the cycle of revenge doesn’t keep coming back to the “devils” on his home island.
The group of people led by Paradis and Marley stands in Eren’s way. They are Eren’s “sister” Mikasa, his old friends from the Survey Corps, and the rest of Marley’s most important forces.
Before we get to the final showdown, though, we have to deal with a few wild cards. Floch is the most important. Gabi shot Eren’s loyal lieutenant, but it didn’t look like he died when he fell into the sea. Expect him to have a big part in the last act of the show.
Zeke is likely still on the chessboard as well. Eren’s actions in Part 2 have left him stuck in the Coordinate, but if there’s anyone who can get out of a time jam, it’s Zeke. Levi and Hange were also working with the Cart Titan when they were last seen.
There are also people who support Jaegers, called Jaegerists, whose loyalty could be broken by Eren’s continuing rampage around the world. How the conflict ends may depend on whether they help Eren or fight against him.
Overall, Eren and Mikasa will probably have a final showdown over the fate of the planet. Whether or not she can get him to stop being so aggressive could make all the difference in the world.
