Toh Season 3 Storyline
Luz Noceda, a girl on her way to a summer camp for delinquents, finds herself transported via a portal to the mythical realm of the Boiling Isles. Luz meets Eda, a free-spirited witch who eventually invites her to live with her in the eponymous Owl House. Luz will be able to return to the human world if she helps Eda and her roommate, the self-proclaimed king of demons, King, find the crown he lost.
Eda keeps her word, but Luz finds a home in this world and decides to stay and hone her witchcraft skills. With the help of her cell phone, she convinces her mother that she is indeed in the “Reality Check” camp her mother had sent her to.
Luz first learns magic from Eda through the use of glyphs, and then she joins Willow and Gus at Hexside School of Magic and Demonic, where she meets her future love interest, Amity, the school’s top student. Although she had once been a member of a coven, Eda eventually left Hexside and never returned.

Eda’s sister Lilith rose to the position of High Priestess in the Emperor’s Coven. Lilith makes Eda’s life miserable by constantly trying to arrest her and badgering her to join the Emperor’s Coven. An early childhood curse has turned Eda into a monstrous owl. At the end of Season 1, it’s revealed that it was Lilith who originally cursed her.
Lilith has been threatened with exile from the empire by Emperor Belos unless she is successful in convincing Eda to join his coven and submit to his regulations about the use of magic. It goes without saying that this is false. For unclear reasons, Belos kidnaps Lilith, King, and Eda and threatens to petrify them until Luz grants him access to the human realm.
Even though she agrees, Luz decides to use magic to close the doorway that leads home. In an effort to redeem herself, Lilith performs a spell to inflict Eda’s curse on Luz, Eda, King, and Lilith, reducing their magical might but allowing them to flee. In the meantime, Belos is busy putting the pieces of the gateway back together.
