After a road rage incident on Monday evening, deputies from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office are conducting an investigation after a shot was fired at a truck. It took place soon before 6 o’clock in the evening on Interstate 90 in Concord Township, close to State Route 44.
According to the investigators, the incident began when a pickup truck manufactured in 2014 by Nissan Titan drove up behind the suspect vehicle, a silver Subaru, in the left lane as the truck was traveling westbound on Interstate 90.
Reports indicate that the Subaru was traveling at a sluggish speed and repeatedly slammed on the brakes, which allowed the pickup truck to move ahead of the Subaru in the right lane before it crossed over.
After then, according to what the driver of the pickup told the investigators, the Subaru went into the right lane and began exchanging words and gestures with the passenger in the pickup.

According to the investigators, at that point, the driver of the Subaru opened fire on the pickup, striking the right front fender with his bullet.
After that, the pickup truck got off at the State Route 44 exit and dialed 911.
At the time, there were two young children riding in the vehicle with the driver. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
