After receiving three threats in a span of less than a week, the parents of students attending schools in the city of Tuscaloosa want answers.
The most recent threat, made against Westlawn Middle School on Monday morning, followed threats against Bryant High School and Eastwood Middle School.
This indicated that the police did not uncover anything, and they gave the “all-clear” signal to each of the three institutions.
In the incident involving Westlawn Middle School, the police responded to what they were informed was an “active threat,” but they did not discover any such danger upon arrival.
The administrators at the schools and the law enforcement officers are not happy about it.

The District Attorney for Tuscaloosa County, Hays Webb, has stated that the individuals making these threats are not considering the anxiety it generates among parents.
When a parent has to go to work or do whatever else they need to do, they put their child on the school bus and leave them off at their destination. They require reassurance that their children are in a secure environment. They, as well as the community, deserve that, and we want to do all in our power to help ensure that they have that confidence,” Webb says. “I mean, they deserve that and the community deserves that.”
The teenagers who are accused of making shooting threats by phone to Eastwood Middle School and Westlawn Middle School in Tuscaloosa have reportedly been identified by the police. The Paul Bryant campus was the location of a threat involving a bomb. That particular matter is still being looked into.
