The coroner reported that a mine accident in Warren County on Friday claimed the lives of two workers. The two perished in an electrical accident that occurred at 6:33 a.m. at the Piedmont Mining facility, which mines kaolin and bauxite in an open-pit quarry-like operation in Warren County outside Wrens, according to the Federal Mine Safety and Health Administration.
They were identified as Charquavian Bloodsaw, 24, and Damian Ashberry, 25, according to coroner Paul M. Lowe.
According to the company, Piedmont Mining is collaborating with the government to investigate the disaster. The corporation stated, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of the two individuals who have died due to this unfortunate event.”

According to Stephanie Taylor Harrison, manager of human resources at Piedmont Mining, such an incident is terrible for coworkers. She added on Friday that we spent time with their work and personal families today, and we try to be there for everyone and offer any assistance.
Although there are mishaps in the business, she claimed, “We’ve been in operation for 31 years, and nothing of this magnitude has ever happened to us.” The corporation declared it was committed to finding out what caused the disaster. Harrison stated, “We’re doing everything we can to stop something like this from happening in the future.
She stated that the business has ten pits that generate kaolin and bauxite in the Wrens region and has 300 employees dispersed across five states. Many domestic products, including porcelain-based fixtures like toilets, masonry, and concrete, use hard materials.
