A house fire early Wednesday morning in this gated community claimed the lives of two residents. Dr David J. Moylan III, the Schuylkill County coroner, said that a man and a woman had passed away at 1027 Indian Drive in Wayne Twp., but he did not know the circumstances behind their deaths.
He named Michael Dellock (age 54) and Renee Bentley (age 52) as the couple. Moylan claimed that the resident of the house, Dellock, was dating Bentley. There was no housing in her native city.
The coroner’s office is located at the Simon Kramer Cancer Institute in New Philadelphia, so a CT scan is planned for Thursday. Moylan added that the state police have asked for forensic autopsies to be conducted by Dr Wayne Ross at the Dauphin County Forensic Center in Harrisburg.
According to a press release issued by state police, “during suppression, two victims were found deceased in the fire.” According to the report, the fire marshal and the Troop L Major Case Team are “investigating the fire and details that led to the death of the victims.”

Trooper David Beohm stated midday on Wednesday, “It’s still an active investigation.” The incident was first reported as smoke coming from the roof at 5:35 a.m., according to a supervisor at the Schuylkill County Communications Center.
A deputy coroner was asked for at 6:42 a.m. Moylan stated that Albert T. Barnes and Andrew Szczyglak, both deputy coroners, responded and that Barnes made the official death pronouncement.
Several fire departments rushed to the scene, including those in Summit Station, Schuylkill Haven, Friedensburg, Pine Grove, and Mount Aetna. On Wednesday night, as other vehicles slowly went by, 1027 resident Dennis Moyer, 64, was riding his motorcycle near the scene.
Moyer read about the blaze and the discovery of the victims in the news. “That’s a shame,” he sighed. The two-story house with the two-car garage attached was still standing, although it had sustained major roof damage on one end.
