According to accounts, on Friday night in Juliasdale, Nyanga, a bus carrying pupils from Tynwald School was involved in a car accident. The children were travelling on a school outing. Five pupils reportedly died instantly, while one student died after being admitted to the hospital. Images of a bus with the Tynwald School insignia on it that has overturned have been circulating on social media since Friday night. Supa Mandiwanzira, a Nyanga South MP, confirmed the disaster late on Friday night.

He thanked the Nyanga District Hospital staff, led by DMO Dr John Muungani, in a tweet that he shared. Victims of a horrible school bus accident that occurred this evening in Juliusdale, Nyanga. One person recently passed away at the hospital, and five people died immediately.
Reports say a bus carrying Tynwald School pupils had an accident in Nyanga this evening. Five pupils reportedly died on the spot, while one died upon admission to the hospital.
