On Wednesday night, dozens of volunteers descended upon UCF to help the Heart of Florida United Way package thousands of Thanksgiving dinners for underprivileged Central Florida families. “According to Lynnea Crawford, vice president of the Heart of Florida United Way, “We are still expanding.” “This year, we are providing 4,000 meal kits to families who are still getting over the pandemic and Hurricane Ian.”
The pre-registration list that families had to join to receive a meal was entirely full in a matter of days.
