Netflix has decided to produce a second season of the Spanish thriller Welcome to Eden after the first season of the show kept fans captivated after it was made available to them in May of 2022.
For those who are unaware, there is a group of adolescents who are told that they have been invited to the “party of a lifetime” on a paradisiacal island off the coast of a faraway country in order to celebrate the debut of a new beverage brand. But things quickly take a turn for the worst when the teenagers find out that a violent game was being played in which they are all now caught, and that there are deadly consequences waiting for them.
The first season, which can be seen in its entirety in a single sitting, ended with a number of suspense-inducing cliffhangers, leaving viewers hungry for more of the show. However, do any future plans call for the continuation of the story? Everything you need to know about the second season of Welcome to Eden is provided here.

Welcome To Eden Season 2 Plot
In the nail-biting season one finale, fans saw Zoa and Charly try to use the entrance of the new recruits as a diversion to get off the island. The new kids, like Zoa and her companions before them, had no idea what they were getting themselves into. Zoe was caught by Ulises, who viciously attacked her as punishment for trying to flee right as Charly boarded the boat safely. Fortunately, Ibón came to Zoa’s aid and killed Ulises while doing so.
The fact that he was visibly affected by the incident, which was so out of character for him, begs the issue of how the death of Ulises would impact Ibón in the upcoming season, and how the character will be expanded upon. Africa, meantime, discovered a hidden room full of gadgets in the house of Astrid and Erick, and by touching a button on one of the panels, she accidentally activated a satellite that broadcast a signal into space. Door alarms went off and the chamber was sealed, enclosing Africa.
Season one was packed from beginning to end with startling reveals and suspenseful moments. Zoa caught sight of her sister Gabi approaching the island just as she was about to board the boat that would transport her to freedom. We’ve watched Gabi struggle all season to find out what happened to her sister, and now it appears that she has joined the ranks of the island’s visitors.
Is Zoa going to go on the boat, or will she return to try to save her sister? The meaning of the signal beamed into space is unclear. Can Africa avoid being discovered and punished? Moreover, what exactly is the character of the Eden Foundation? Hopefully, these will all be addressed in season two.
Welcome To Eden Season 2 Renewal Status
On May 25th, Netflix Spain’s official Instagram account shared the news that Welcome to Eden would be renewed for a second season. We have to convert the original Spanish caption for the post into English. In the words of the caption: “The antennas offer us a clear message: #WelcomeAEdén will enjoy a second season.”
On May 6th, a new suspenseful series began streaming on Netflix, and it has been a success ever since. It seemed likely that the show would return for a second season. There was obviously more to tell, as the first season finished with many mysteries still unsolved.

Indeed, a Spanish news outlet claimed before the show’s launch that production on Season 2 of Welcome to Eden had already begun. Heraldo added, “The experience has been fully accepted, to the extent that this place will once again be the backdrop for the second season, which will begin shooting in the near future. Between March 15 and April 30 of last year, a technical team of ninety persons transformed the local area, with a particular impact on Valderrobres. Even while Netflix had not yet confirmed the report, it appears to have some validity to it now that the renewal has been officially announced.
Given how recently the program was renewed, it’s difficult to speculate on when the second season might hit Netflix. If we had to guess, we’d say the release date wouldn’t come until 2023 or 2024. We’ll have a better notion of when the second season might be on the streamer once we know that filming has begun.
Welcome To Eden Season 2 Cast
Tomás Aguilera (Charly), Guillermo Pfening (Erick), Claudia Trujillo (Brenda), Diego Garisa (Ibon), Max Sampietro (Isaac), Irene Dev (Alma), Joan Pedrola (Orson), and Carlos Soroa (Eloy) may all be back for the second season. There has been no official word on who will come back from the original cast. We can only guess about this. It’s possible that season 2 of Welcome to Eden will introduce us to some brand-new faces.
