Is it any surprise that viewers of Netflix’s Wednesday want more after the show surpassed Stranger Things in popularity? Even if the Lady Gaga song isn’t in the concert, everyone who has spent any time around TikTok (or a 14-year-old) in 2023 will be singing “Gonna dance-dance-dance with my hands-hands-hands above my head-head-head” and swinging their arms about.
Of course, there’s much more to Wednesday than just a viral dance craze. There’s also the fact that Tim Burton has returned to television after two decades of dwindling big-screen results. That star Jenna Ortega has gone from child actor and promising supporting role (in films like Scream and You) to bona fide worldwide screen superstar.
As promised, Wednesday serves us a heaping serving of the bizarre and beautiful, along with some chic monochromatic clothing, as it delves inside the psyche of the Addams family’s most enigmatic member in her search for the perpetrators of the recent spate of violence in Jericho.
After the season one ending, we naturally began digging for hints about the show’s future, just as Wednesday did. The season one finale of Wednesday served up a few of shocks, leaving viewers to wonder who sent that cryptic text message, but we’ll need more than conjecture to satiate our curiosity.
The simple answer is to have another season, but will that ever happen? This is all we know about the upcoming Wednesday Season 2.
How did the first season of Wednesday end?
Wednesday will have her share of foes in Season 2 as hinted at by the Season 1 finale. Season 1 ends with the revelation that Hyde is still at large. A stalker is also active in Nevermore; in the season one finale, Wednesday gets ominous messages and disturbing images from an unidentified number.
“[The stalker proves] that threats remain out there… to both Wednesday and the school,” Millar said. “Not all loose ends have been tied up neatly as she thinks they have.”
It’s possible that Wednesday seldom smiles. However, the prospect of a brand-new ghostly mystery to solve could cause even her to crack the tiniest smile. The second season of Wednesday has yet to reveal its full cast or storyline.

What’s supposed to happen on Wednesday in Season 2?
Myers, who portrays Wednesday’s werewolf roommate Enid, said, “anything is possible in the show” in an interview with Variety published in January 2023.
“We haven’t really spoken about direction at all, so I don’t really know what the game plan is for anything,” Myers told the publication.
Myers addressed the shippers of Enid and Wednesday by saying that her expectations for Season 2 were different.
“As far as love interests go for Wednesday, I feel like at least for a second season, she needs to take her season of singleness,” she said.
“She just had a whole fiasco with her men, she’s got to lay it off for a little bit. I would be deterred from dating anybody if I had gone through that.”
Where does the story go from here? We spoke about loose threads, and boy, did they get left out in the open.
Wednesday’s predilection for suffering didn’t appear to extend to her realization that her lover was the monster terrorizing Nevermore. Ms. Thornhill, a teacher favorite, was manipulating him despite the fact that she was a nasty northerner with grudges against the social misfits.
The likelihood that Tyler remains Ms. Thornhill’s ‘pet’ is low; we believe he has fled. And we’re even more certain that Wednesday will see him again. However, whether they will be friends, lovers, or enemies is yet unknown.
When is Wednesday Season 2 Coming Out?
The”Wednesday Season 2″ is expected to go into production in the autumn of 2023, perhaps beginning before the end of the year. This indicates production might start as soon as September 2023.

Wednesday has proven to be one of Netflix’s most successful Originals ever, and not just one of the largest of 2022. Netflix announced the show’s second season renewal on January 6th.
However, at that time, it was well known that the show had been revived, thanks to rumors that a writer’s room had been established and several teasers over the holiday season.
Showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar remarked, “It’s been incredible to create a show that has connected with people across the world,” and that they are “Thrilled to continue Wednesday’s torturous journey into season two.” We are eager to return to the weird and scary realm of Nevermore for a new season. Make sure Wednesday hasn’t already drained the pool before we jump in.
