What Happened To Kaycee On The Challenge?
As a result of Kaycee’s success in the previous season of The Challenge, she and her brother Kenny were thought to be among the favourites to take home the title this time around. However, it became clear very quickly that she would not be able to duplicate the performance.
The presenter, T.J. Lavin, announced on the first episode of Season 38 that “Kaycee and Kenny had to quit the game.” The audience also heard this announcement. The fact that “we live in wild times right now,” which was the only explanation that Lavin offered, led viewers to speculate that some type of crisis had taken place.

The Challenge then presented not just one but two new teams to take the vacant slot left by the Clark siblings after they were eliminated. Horacio Gutierrez and Olivia Kaiser, along with Nam Vo and Emmy Russ, will compete against one another in an effort to win The Challenge: Ride or Dies. The previous champions were Nam Vo and Emmy Russ.
However, Kaycee’s departure cast a long shadow over the rest of the premiere, and as a result, audience attention was more focused on her departure than on the remaining cast members. Kaycee provided an explanation for her abrupt exit shortly after the show aired.
Why Did Kaycee Leave The Challenge?
As a result of Kaycee’s victory in the prior season of The Challenge, she and her brother Kenny have been pegged as the front-runners to take home the title in this year’s competition. However, her expectations of a repeat performance were dashed almost immediately. In the first episode of Season 38, host T.J. Lavin informed the remaining teams and the viewers that Kaycee and Kenny were forced to leave the competition.
The only explanation that Lavin provided was that “we live in unusual times right now,” which left viewers wondering whether there had been some kind of emergency. After that, in order to find a suitable replacement for the Clark siblings, The Challenge introduced not just one but two brand-new teams.

Together with Nam Vo and Emmy Russ, Horacio Gutierrez and Olivia Kaiser will compete in The Challenge: Ride or Dies in an effort to win the competition. However, Kaycee’s departure had an indelible mark on the rest of the premiere, as seen by the fact that viewers focused more on her departure than on the contestants who were eliminated. Kaycee offered a justification for her humiliating departure from the show not long after it first aired.
That more accurately sums up Lavin’s remark about these being “crazy times,” as the pandemic has unquestionably made everybody’s life more difficult. Since it would have been awkward to make the announcement of Kaycee and Kenny’s positive COVID tests to a wide televised audience, this explains why he withheld additional information.
The fact that Kaycee has tested positive for the virus not once, but twice, adds a new layer of intrigue to the story. The winner of Big Brother Season 20 said, “I didn’t go on Big Brother: All-Stars because I had COVID.” She said that we contracted COVID in Argentina, where the show is shot.
‘The Challenge’ Season 38 spoilers: Who heads home first?
In the upcoming season of MTV’s The Challenge, entitled Ride or Dies, loyal viewers will be pleased to see some familiar faces. This season, contestants are encouraged to team up with a trusted friend, spouse, or ally in their quest to win the grand prize. Who gets to leave first, then? Get ready for the first elimination of The Challenge Season 38 right here.
Who goes out of the game first, not counting the early dismissals? Spoilers for The Challenge Season 38 on Reddit claim that Tori Deal and Devin Walker will be the first to be voted off the island, eliminating Kailah Casillas and her husband, Sam Bird.
Kailah has been in the finals of Vendettas and All Stars 3, and she has competed in Invasion of the Champions, Dirty 30, Champs vs. Stars 2, Final Reckoning, and Total Madness. Her relationship conflict with Stephen Bear in the past is something that fans may recall. She and her husband are racing in Ride or Die as a team, so maybe they can put that past conflict behind them and focus on the race at hand.
Spoilers released by PinkRose on Vevmo suggest that the beginning structure relies somewhat on chance. They explained, “The victorious team eliminates a member and then nominates three opponents to fight the eliminated member.” The other team in the elimination round is determined by a coin toss after those three teams have drawn them. To avoid elimination, one of the two teams must pull a dagger, and the team that does so gets to choose which one.
Therefore, another Reddit member elaborated on the initial cut. Devin and Tori, Laurel and Jakk, and Colleen and Kim made up the teams for the initial dagger draw. My guess is that Laurel’s group made the executive decision to rescue Colleen. Kailah and Sam were sent in by Johnny Middlebrooks and Ravyn.
They’ll RIDE into the competition together but will the game TEAR them apart?! 🤯
