Windham Rotunda Obituary: WWE Announces The Unexpected Passing Of Bray Wyatt At 36!!

After the recent passing of WWE Hall of Farmer Terry Funk, the wrestling world has lost yet another shining star. Windham Rotunda, better known as Bray Wyatt, a former WWE champion, was killed unexpectedly on August 24. He was 36. Chief Content Officer and 14-time World Champion ‘Triple H’ broke the tragic news of his passing. Wrestling journalist Sean Ross Sapp tweeted on X that Wyatt had died of a heart attack.

In his post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda — also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed earlier today,” Levesque wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Our thoughts are with his family, and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.”

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, a former wrestler and now an actor, has expressed his deep sadness at Wyatt’s passing. I’m devastated by the news of Bray Wyatt’s death,” he wrote. I have had nothing but the highest regard for him and his family, the Rotundas. I enjoyed his appearances, promos, in-ring work, and overall contribution to the WWE universe.

In the wild world of professional wrestling, it’s not easy to come up with characters as original, calm, and unusual as this one. I am still trying to come to terms with Terry Funk’s (yesterday) and Bray’s (today) deaths. Additionally, WWE released a statement saying, “WWE is saddened to learn that Windham Rotunda, also known as Bray Wyatt, passed away on Thursday, August 24, at age 36. WWE extends its condolences to Rotunda’s family, friends and fans”

Rotunda’s cause of death is unknown, and no other details have been revealed.

Bray Wyatt’s Life And Achievements

He was the third generation of his family to work in professional wrestling, and his mind was widely regarded as one of the most original and forward-thinking in the industry. Wyatt Rotunda was Mike and Stephanie’s son.

In the 1980s, his grandfather Robert Windham, better known as “Blackjack Mulligan,” became a household name. His granddad also participated in collegiate football at UTEP and was a member of the New York Jets preseason roster.

Wyatt’s grandfather, great-grandfather, and two uncles (Barry and Kendall Windham) also competed in the WWE. In 2007, Wyatt sat out a year of football at Troy as a redshirt. The Sun said that Wyatt is engaged to his fiancée, JoJo, aka Joseann Offerman, with whom he shares two children.

Wyatt has won the WWE Championship once and the Universal Championship twice in his WWE career. He hasn’t been seen on TV since February of 2023, and rumors have circulated that an injury is to blame.

Rotunda won the WWE Championship in 2017, but his career continued to decline even after he defeated John Cena, AJ Styles, The Miz, Dean Ambrose, and Baron Corbin.

In the latter half of 2019, he recast himself as the ‘Fiend’ and entered the ring, where he immediately became the center of attention.
