Here we are talking about Woman Dies in a Car After Being Hit by a Truck on the NJ Turnpike. On Friday morning, a tractor-trailer struck and killed a woman on the New Jersey Turnpike whose automobile had broken down in a travel lane.
Around 2:20 a.m., a disabled Hyundai Elantra was discovered in a travel lane by a tractor-trailer, a tanker truck, and a bobtail going north in the outer streets north of Exit 13.
The Elantra was hit by the tractor-trailer, which then struck the other two trucks. The tractor-trailer was turned over as a result of the collision. Zadira Reyes, the Hyundai’s 32-year-old North Bergen driver, was declared dead at the site.
The other drivers were unharmed, but the truck’s driver was hospitalised with non-life-threatening wounds. The clip shows a minor fire burning beneath the truck’s cab. At the time of the accident, the road was slick from rain.
Result Delayed From Investigations
The incident investigation caused a 16-mile delay in the Friday morning commute from Exit 9 in East Brunswick to the crash location. There was a rubbernecking delay in the automobile lanes and only one available lane in the outside lanes. According to State Police data, it was the 33rd fatal collision on the Turnpike in 2022 and the first in Union County.
