Wyoming Car Accident 2023

Wyoming Car Accident 2023: The Wyoming Highway Patrol (Facebook) said a driver driving in the wrong direction on Interstate 80 caused a multi-car pileup that resulted in five fatalities on Sunday night. The Ford F-150, carrying five people, was struck by a commercial vehicle attempting to avoid the pickup truck going the wrong way on the highway.

A Dodge Ram 3500 was driving east on the wrong side of the highway when it crashed just before seven o’clock in the evening east of Rawlins. According to the highway patrol, the pickup hit a commercial truck and a passenger automobile.

A second commercial truck driver attempted to avoid the approaching pickup by veering towards the median as the Dodge collided with the automobile. This caused the truck to go into the eastbound lanes, hitting the Ford F-150 square in the head. Then, both of those cars caught fire.

In the chain-reaction accident, numerous others suffered significant injuries and were rushed to hospitals. Authorities detained the Dodge’s driver on suspicion of driving while under the influence. The police stated that the unnamed individual could be charged with more offenses. Over the weekend, three more individuals perished on Wyoming’s roadways.

A 15-year-old driver lost control of a truck on an ice-covered section of Interstate 25 on Saturday, resulting in the death of a Colorado man. Adam Mitchell (Instagram), 49, of Laporte, Colorado, was killed at the site of the collision close to Wheatland because he was not using a seat belt. Two men, including the 15-year-old, suffered injuries.

Then, early on Sunday morning, two men from Missouri were killed when the windscreen of the semi-truck they were riding in broke following an accident, burying them beneath two feet of snow. Both men were caught inside the sleeper berth of the semi-truck as the snow compacted. The two males were identified in a Wyoming Highway Patrol report as Tyler Judd, 40, and Keith Koehler II, the driver.
