Nowadays, it seems like every anime is looking to partner with a footwear brand. The fashion industry has been more than happy to answer the call from IPs like Dragon Ball and Pokemon looking for their next big endeavor. Now it appears that Adidas is returning to the anime scene with a fresh partnership, and this time Yu-Gi-Oh will share the spotlight with the company.
The website Modern Notoriety provided the update after learning that Yu-Gi-Oh x Adidas was coming. Many product images from the unique cooperation have surfaced, and honestly? Fans are willing to stake their entire wallets on these sneak looks.
As you can see above, the collection draws inspiration from Adidas’ early 2000s profiles because Yu-Gi-Oh and Adidas have the same Y2K background. After all, the show’s creator Kazuki Takahashi witnessed the surge in popularity of the series at the close of the 1990s and the series’ global acclaim at the turn of the millennium. In this collection, shoes like the Reptossage and ADI2000 are displayed. So you’re good to go here whether you want sandals or sneakers.

The artwork on the two sneakers is either from Kaiba and the Blue-Eyes White Dragon or Yugi and the Dark Magician. The white shoes include a few subtle references to Yu-Gi-Oh throughout, but the trading card key art embroidered on the leather outside is where they pay the most homage. These two monsters will also be included in the collection’s Reptossage slides, allowing fans to celebrate their preferred Duel Monster even while on the go.

Yu Gi Oh Adidas shoe Release Date?
Although a release date for Yu-Gi-Oh x Adidas has not yet been announced, the street date for these sneakers is 2022. Although no price has been disclosed, fans may anticipate paying at least $100 USD for these sneakers given Adidas’ current price point.
