Zac Efron has spoken up about the car accident that occurred in 2013 and resulted in the breaking of his jaw. The actor said to Entertainment Tonight that the event came very close to being deadly.

Efron disclosed to the magazine, as reported by Gabby Landsverk of Insider, that the incident occurred as he was racing through his residence while wearing socks. The subsequent fall caused him to strike a granite fountain, which resulted in a fracture to his jaw.
Efron explained that he worked with a physical therapist specialist to recover from the injury, but some of the muscles in his face and jaw had to work harder as a response to the injury. More specifically, the chewing muscles called masseters, which are located on the side of the face from the cheekbone to the lower jaw, had to work harder as a result of the injury.

He told Men’s Health that since he became famous at the age of 17 because of his role in “High School Musical,” he has made an effort to stay away from social media unless he is promoting a specific project.
Fans first began speculating about Efron’s sexuality in April 2021, shortly after the actor made an appearance in an Earth Day special alongside scientist Bill Nye. Many viewers of the special commented on how drastically different Zac Efron’s jawline appeared, which sparked a heated discussion (nicknamed “Jaw-Gate”) on the internet.
