Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss Death: Stephen “tWitch” Boss, a regular on So You Think You Can Dance and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, committed suicide on Tuesday, TVLine has confirmed. He was 40.
As TMZ was the first to report, Boss’s wife, Allison Holker, called the Los Angeles Police Department after he left home without his car in a strange way. Later, when police got a call about a shooting at a Los Angeles hotel, they found Boss with a gunshot wound that seemed to have been self-inflicted.
“It breaks my heart to tell you that my husband Stephen has left us,” Holker told People in a statement. “Stephen made every room brighter when he walked in. He cared most about his family, friends, and community. Leading with love and light was the most important thing to him. He was the strongest member of our family. He was also the best husband and father, and his fans looked up to him. It would be an understatement to say that he left a legacy, and the good things he did will continue to be felt.
“I’m sure there won’t be a day that goes by when we don’t remember him,” she said in her statement. “During this hard time for me and especially for our three children, we ask for privacy. We love and miss you, Stephen, and I’ll always save the last dance for you.
