A two-hour episode is the new standard for Stranger Things season four’s Volume 2, which will continue this tradition. However, despite the fact that Season 4’s second half only consists of two episodes, Stranger Things fans will still have over four hours of television to savor as they follow the war between Vecna and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).
With many episodes clocking in at more than an hour and forty minutes each, Stranger Things had already pushed the boundaries of what a television series can do in its first season. Vol. 2 will, on the other hand, go much further. One hour twenty minutes will be all that separates the eighth from the ninth episode of Season 4, which clocks in at 2 hours twenty minutes. In fact, we are living in a time where television episodes are longer than most movies that are shown in the cinema.
Season 2’s Volume 2 will also give us a better idea of where Stranger Things will take us in Season 5, the end of Eleven’s journey, as directed by the Duffer Brothers. A new adversary has emerged in Season 4, who we now believe is responsible for all the events of prior seasons. As a result, we don’t know what else could be on the horizon after Season 4 ends with Eleven taking on Vecna.
A great deal remains unknown regarding Upside Down, Eleven’s dimensional split, and Vecna’s identity. It’s possible that the Duffer Brothers will be able to satisfy even the most ardent fans with nearly four hours left in Volume 2. Eleven and the Byers family have left Hawkins and are attempting to acclimate to a new life away from the town.
When a new threat emerges from Upside Down, Eleven and her pals must return to the haunting town in order to stop a monster named Vecna from entering our world. The upcoming season will also see Chief Hopper (David Harbour) imprisoned in a frigid Russian jail, in parallel with Vecna’s ascension. In less than a week, the first volume of Season 4 smashed audience records, with more than 286.7 million hours viewed.
Mike, Dustin, Lucas, Will, Max, Joyce Byers, Chief Hopper, Murray Bauman, Steve Harrington, Robin Buckley, and Nancy Wheeler all return for Season 4 of Stranger Things, which premieres on Netflix on October 25th at 9 p.m. ET/PT (Natalia Dyer). Additionally, Charlie Heaton, Priah Ferguson, Brett Gelman, Cara Buono, and Matthew Modine make up Season 4’s cast.
