The season finale leaves us on a cliffhanger, but we have a hunch about which male lead is the best fit for Devi. But we still have her senior year to look forward to, and after some wavering, we can’t say for sure where she stands on that major decision, either.
In the last season of Never Have I Ever, do Devi and Paxton finally break up?
Devi and Paxton finally made their debut as a couple at the end of season 2, after two seasons of will-they-won’t-they tensions. At the start of the season, Devi is having the time of her life and is completely ecstatic about her new relationship with Paxton. However, it doesn’t take long for Devi to begin self-sabotaging her relationship, which ultimately leads to their breakup.
In the premiere, we find Devi questioning her commitment to her boyfriend after allowing the school’s cruel girls to influence her. When Paxton reunites with an old friend and flame, it sets off a chain of unfortunate events that culminates in their failing to score a “match” on the school’s Valentine’s Day compatibility tests. Paxton and Devi’s relationship reaches a breaking point in the third episode of Season 3.
In Never Have I Ever, who does Devi end up with? Season 3
The show skips ahead a few months after Devi and Paxton broke up in episode 3, and it’s evident that despite Paxton having moved on, Devi still has feelings for him. Though Devi’s initial objective was to try to win Paxton back, things took an unexpected turn when she fell in love with Des, the not-so-nerdy son of her mom’s new best friend.
We have to admit that we were shipping Des and Devi when they started seeing each other behind their mothers’ backs. Des breaks up with Devi because his mother prohibits it, out of concern that she will bring Des down with her history of bad decisions.
In the season finale, Devi and Paxton appear to be on the verge of making up, but in an unexpected twist, Devi shows up on Ben’s doorstep instead. Sure enough, at the end of season three of Never Have I Ever, Devi had teamed up with Ben, setting the stage for the two to spend the final season together.
