FLORIDA’S FORT LAUDERDALE — According to court documents, rapper Kodak Black has an arrest warrant out of Florida after failing a drug test while out on bail for a drug charge.
Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was given the warrant on Thursday as a result of his failure to show up for a planned drug test in early February and subsequent submission of a sample that tested positive for fentanyl days later, according to records.
The rapper had broken the terms of his pretrial release following a July oxycodone trafficking arrest, according to Broward County Judge Barbara Duffy, who issued the warrant.

Black has contested the charge of trafficking. On Sunday, his counsel was unavailable for comment. The rapper was given a three-year federal jail sentence in January 2020 for faking documents to purchase weapons. At the time, President Donald Trump was in office. Half of Black’s sentence had already been served.
