Are Kariselle and Joey Still Together?
In short, no. In an interview with Today published in March 2023, Joey and Kariselle said they had broken up after filming for The Perfect Match season 1 wrapped. For now, we both realize we need space from each other.
Did Kariselle and Joey Date Before ‘Perfect Match’?
After Joey’s casting on The Circle was announced, the two finally met. In the pilot episode of Perfect Match, Joey mentioned that Kariselle had sent him a direct message (DM) and that he was instantly attracted to her.
She eventually made the trip to L.A., and while they had a good time together, Joey ultimately decided he wasn’t ready for a serious commitment. According to Kariselle, they went silent for a while but eventually rekindled their friendship.
They went on a few dates, but she claims he broke up with her because the “commitment thing” was too much. According to Instagram, they attempted dating again in the first half of 2021.
Joey posted a heartfelt statement alongside a photo of himself in Kariselle in July 2021, thanking everyone who had helped him get sober. His yearly review video for 2021 features footage of the couple locking lips. Before filming on Perfect Match began in early 2022, it appeared that the two had broken up.
What Happened Between Kariselle and Joey On Perfect Match?
Joey and Kariselle concluded the series engaged after he proposed to her in one of the last episodes of Perfect Match. The couple chose to take their relationship to the next level in the second season.
Kariselle initially was hesitant to give Joey another chance following their failed romance off-screen, and she even pondered matching with Too Hot To Handle’s Chase DeMoor.
But in the end, she picked Joey, and they stayed together as a couple until the very conclusion of the show. A tough compatibility challenge, in which Joey revealed he was still hung up on an ex, was just the beginning of the couple’s difficulties, but after that, they were able to sail through the next batches of episodes.
They called Joey’s mom to tell her they were engaged, and although they ended up losing the ultimate prize to fellow Perfect Match contestants Georgia Hassarati and Dom Gabriel, they seemed to conclude the season extremely satisfied with each other.
