Billie Eilish Childish Gambino: This past night, at the third and last gig of her mini-residency at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Billie Eilish welcomed out Donald Glover, who performed as Childish Gambino for the first time since 2019. They collaborated on a stripped-down version of Glover’s 2016 single “Redbone.” The concert took place two days before Eilish turned 21, and during intermission, her loved ones sang “Happy Birthday” to her onstage. Following the speeches, Eilish sang “When I Was Older” as a tribute.

Khalid appeared during the final Happier Than Ever: Hometown Encore performance to perform their 2018 duet “Lovely.” At the first of this week’s three shows at the Kia Forum, Eilish performed “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and brought out Labrinth for a handful of duets on songs from the Euphoria soundtrack. On night two, Eilish invited Dave Grohl up onstage, and the two performed an acoustic duet of “My Hero” by the Foo Fighters, a song that has become an anthem for the band.

What Song Did Billie Eilish Write First?
Songs like “Bad Guy” and “Bury a Friend” propelled Billie Eilish to stardom as an American singer-songwriter. Eilish has been creating pieces since she was a kid, long before she became one of the biggest names in teen pop. When did Billie Eilish release her first single?
As an 11-year-old, Billie Eilish participated in her mother’s songwriting class, where she wrote her first song about a zombie apocalypse. Ocean Eyes, which Eilish co-wrote and -produced with her brother, Finneas, and released on Soundcloud in 2015, was her first commercially successful single.
Ocean Eyes
Eilish’s dance instructor heard a recording she had made of one of her songs and requested her to record a song for a routine in October 2015. As “Ocean Eyes” was originally written and produced by Finneas, Eilish and her brother worked together to record it. As with other songs they had created, they uploaded them to the music-sharing website SoundCloud.
In the end, Ocean Eyes’ infectious melody and original sound made it a SoundCloud smash, which helped launch Eilish’s meteoric music career. After the media began promoting and praising “Bad Guy,” Apple Music offered Eilish a record deal, which Finneas negotiated with the help of his management. Because of this, Eilish soon released new songs, including “Idon’twant tobeyouanymore” and “Bored,” both of which she composed for the Netflix show “13 Reasons Why.”

When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was Eilish’s 2018 chart-topping album. Since then, she has worked with her pop star idol Justin Bieber to create the No Time To Die theme song. Eilish’s five Grammys, two AMAs, and two Guinness World Records attest to her status as a breakout teen pop sensation. And in 2019, she was included in the first-ever edition of Time’s “Time 100 Next” list. With 37.5 million single sales in the US alone, Eilish is the 23rd best-selling artist of the digital singles era, per the RIAA.
Evidence that Billie Eilish’s meteoric rise to fame began with the publication of her and her brother’s debut single, Ocean Eyes, cannot be overstated. Although “Bored” is primarily responsible for Eilish’s meteoric rise to fame, the seeds of her future success were planted when she was still a little child and began penning her songs.
