Even though many of these shows have become more right over time, the fact that they used to be Democrats helps the network’s reputation. In this case, they hired Bob Beckel. He died not long ago, at the age of 73.

No news has come out yet about what killed Bob. Bob was Walter Mondale’s campaign manager in 1984, and he later became one of the first co-hosts of The Five on Fox News.

Who Was Bob Beckel?
Bob Beckel was born in 1948 in New York City and went to Wagner College on Staten Island. He worked in politics and was the campaign manager for Walter Mondale’s 1984 presidential campaign. That same year, he started his own consulting company.
Beckel tried his hand at radio and TV as a political writer and worked for a number of big networks and newspapers. From 2005 to 2015, he wrote a blog for USA Today. In 2011, he became a co-host of The Five on Fox News.
In February 2015, he quit the network. In October 2015, he became a political analyst on CNN. Beckel went back to work for Fox in January 2017 as a co-host of The Five until May 2017.
He became famous for writing the book I Should Be Dead: My Life Surviving Politics, TV, and Addiction, in which he talked about his own problems and how his habits almost killed him.

Why Did Bob Beckel Quit Fox News?
