In Strasbourg, France, he studied at the Institute of International Journalism. Kone participated in the Daka African Religions and Thought Systems Research Group. Perhaps the fact that Pounder and her husband both enjoyed the arts played a role in their eventual union.
They collaborated in 1993 to establish the Boribana Museum in Dakar, Senegal. Dakar’s first museum is dedicated to modern and contemporary art. They donated the museum to the citizens of Senegal in 2014.

For 45 years, Boubacar Kone was wed to Guyanese-American actress Carol Christine Hilaria Pounder. It is yet to be determined with certainty when he first started dating the actress better known as C.C.H. Pounder.
The late renowned journalist was married to his bride in 1970, as has been verified. The date and location have reportedly been kept secret from the public and the media since the ceremony was held discreetly in front of the former couple’s chosen friends and family members.

C.C.H. Pounder’s Husband Boubacar Kone Raised Three Children
Boubacar Kone and his wife had a happy marriage full of all the trappings of domestic bliss. Given their various levels of success, the couple had all the makings of a happy marriage: love, communication, understanding, and a healthy financial cushion.
However, it could be argued that having children together was the couple’s greatest achievement. It took the previous couple only twelve years of marriage to produce three offspring. In 1971, Nicole Kone became the couple’s first child.
In 1973, Kone and his wife Pounder welcomed another daughter, Libya Kone. Their first two children were born within a few years of each other, but it took the former couple almost ten more until they welcomed their sole son, in 1982. Matthew Kone was the name of the aforementioned son.

Neither of Kone’s children followed their famous mother into show business, which is fascinating but hardly unprecedented. To begin with, they seemed to continue living the protected lives they had as children despite having the freedom to make their own choices as a result of being adults in the public eye.
Very little is known about where they are or what they do today because they appear to have chosen vocations unrelated to the entertainment industry.
Boubacar Kone was reportedly the grandfather of seven grandchildren when he passed away in 2010: Elisa (born 1994), Michele (born 1999), Kelly (born 2002), Libya (born 2005), Enid (born 2007), and Matthew (born 2010).
The Reason Why C.C.H. Pounder’s Husband Died?
What ultimately took Boubacar Koné’s life was C.C.H. Pounder’s husband passed away of unavoidable circumstances. It is not known if he was laid to rest in the United States or in his native Senegal.
