Carole Baskin’s Former Husband Found Alive After Being Declared ‘Missing’

The star of Tiger King, Carole Baskin, revealed to the hosts of This Morning in a November 2021 ITV interview that Homeland Security had discovered her missing husband, Don Lewis, alive. The internet is only now becoming aware of her allegations, even though not a single source has emerged in the 14 months after the interview aired to support them.

Here’s how her story goes:

They provided a letter from Homeland Security, which I think is one of the most exciting things that came out of Tiger King 2, she told the hosts. The fact that a special agent in charge of the FBI’s Homeland Security division contacted sheriff’s detective George Fernandez indicates that this must have happened after 2002 because Homeland Security wasn’t even a thing until that year.

“They said that Don Lewis, my husband, is healthy and alive in Costa Rica. Yet despite Homeland Security being aware of his location, at least since then, so much has been made about my involvement in his disappearance.

She also pointed out how unlikely he was still alive because he wouldn’t have had access to any of his money. She found what was left of the $1 million he had planned to take to Costa Rica after he vanished, but there wasn’t much. Due to his poor investments, “it was just about $80,000. I’m delighted to hear that he is alive and well in Costa Rica, but I’m not sure how Homeland Security knows that.

It’s not true until Homeland Security or the FBI verifies her assertions.

Twitter, which only lately learned of Baskin’s rumor, has been having a field day with the revelation: Baskin’s reputation is controversial online.
