A new video released by Democratic veterans — led by Sen. Elissa Slotkin and featuring Sen. Mark Kelly, Rep. Jason Crow, Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, and others — urges U.S. troops to refuse illegal orders amid growing concerns about the incoming Trump administration.

The lawmakers stress that military loyalty is to the Constitution, not any individual leader.

President Donald Trump reacted fiercely, reposting calls to “HANG THEM” on Truth Social, accusing the lawmakers of “seditious behavior” and demanding arrests. Democrats, including Gov. Gavin Newsom, condemned Trump’s language as incitement to violence.

Sen. Mark Kelly, whose wife Gabby Giffords survived a mass shooting, expressed fear for his family’s safety. Republicans, meanwhile, accused the video of undermining the military chain of command.

The clash underscores rising tensions over military obedience, illegal orders, and constitutional limits during the presidential transition.
