Discover when Marvel Studios’ inaugural TV-MA series will be available on Disney+ in anticipation of Echo’s launch. Maya Lopez, played by Alaqua Cox, will continue to have adventures in Echo.
Maya first appeared in Hawkeye (2021), a Marvel Cinematic Universe film, where she had a supporting antagonist role until betraying her boss Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin.
Viewers may now learn her backstory and prepare for her next showdown with Fisk, which will undoubtedly be intense given that she shot him in the face at the end of Hawkeye.

Why Is Marvel Releasing All Episodes of Echo at Once?
Disney+ typically releases one episode of a Marvel Cinematic Universe show every week. However, things are different with Echo. The studio hasn’t provided a clear explanation for the change in airdate, although there are a few theories floating about.
It is well-known that Netflix releases an entire season of an original series at once so viewers can binge-watch it.
Binge-watching is a common way for people to enjoy new television shows, and many would even say it’s their favorite. Might Marvel be interested in jumping on that bandwagon?
Another, more gloomy theory is that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and company aren’t happy with the final product and just want to rush Echo into releasing it.
Nevertheless, Echo has received mostly excellent reviews from critics thus far, with many complimenting the film for its strong female heroine, Alaqua Cox, and its realistic tone.
Only three of Marvel Studios’ live-action films are set for release this year. In 2024, the studio plans to release Deadpool 3, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, and Echo.

- Alaqua Cox will reprise her role as Echo/Maya Lopez from Hawkeye in the new spin-off series.
Wow, what a ride this has been. “This is such an amazing feeling,” Cox said on stage at D23 during the initial trailer unveiling, adding that this is only her second job to date. To only be my second lead. I love it.
Vincent D’Onofrio will return to his role as her surrogate father, Wilson Fisk, following their sequences in Hawkeye, as was announced at San Diego Comic-Con.
Charlie Cox, who has played Daredevil/Matt Murdock before in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, will reprise his role as Fisk’s archenemy in the series.
Along with Chaske Spencer of The English and Tantoo Cardinal of Killers of the Flower Moon, Devery Jacobs of Reservation Dogs, Cody Lightning of Hey, Viktor!, Graham Greene of Wind River, and Zahn McClarnon of Westworld, who will play Maya’s late father, William Lopez, again, the series has confirmed a number of other cast members.
There is no information about Jacobs’s part other than the fact that she will be playing a new character named Julie. Fra Fee is eager to reprise her role as Maya’s late friend and fellow Tracksuit Mafia member Kazimierz “Kazi” Kazimierczak, especially if the events of Hawkeye season 1’s ending were somewhat intense.
He told RadioTimes.com earlier in December 2021: “I mean, are you kidding? Of course, I would love to be part of it. But my phone is on at the moment, and there hasn’t been a phone call just yet. We’ll just have to wait and see. Who knows?”
