As a law clerk for Judge Ralph K. Winter Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, George Conway started his legal career in 1987. The following year, he joined Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. He remained there for six years before being elected a firm partner in the Litigation Department in 1994.
