Goblin Slayer Season 2 Storyline
Participants in the Guild are drawn from all throughout the fictional world. In order to get gold and fame, they must perform contracts. When a contract with goblins goes awry, a novice priestess joins her first adventure group and finds herself in peril. As the rest of her group is either wiped out or taken out of action, she is saved by a guy known as Goblin Slayer, an adventurer whose only objective is the annihilation of goblins with terrible prejudice.
In a world where goblins, demon lords, dragons, and other monsters dwell, most people look for fame and glory. At the very least, those who thought of themselves as explorers. As a result, low-level enemies like goblins, which are dangerous even in small numbers, are frequently overlooked for quests. Yet, when they get large enough in numbers to take on a settlement, the damage they wreak is that of more hazardous beasts.
Our lead, known only as Goblin Slayer, is a testament to that. He is from a tiny farm community without the protection of stone walls, lacking a marketplace to render it of any importance to the royal family, and hence is isolated and vulnerable. Thus, he was present when the local goblins attacked and his sister was raped and tortured to death as a child. Because of what he saw, he decided to spend the rest of his life slaughtering goblins, earning the nickname “The Goblin Slayer” in the process.
Though in some parts of the world, he is known as Orcbolg, and in others, he is known as Beard Cutter. Those of higher rank them him, from other guilds, appear familiar with who he is, and when it comes to goblins, he is regarded as a specialist. As a result, he’ll be playing a role in this season’s tale, fighting the reborn Demon Lord in his own way. Not by confronting the ruler himself, but instead addressing his subordinates, goblins.
This is done with the help of a little girl he saves, Onna, who gets through his armor and stubborn attitude, with a few others. Each one helps to repair the trust lost the night his sister was mangled and brings him back to having hope and hobbies outside of goblin slaying. You could even say, despite his true name isn’t revealed at all in the series, they do eventually terminate his stopped growth and assist Goblin Slayer to pursue being human once again.
