The Private Life of Henry Anderson
Mel Tormé was a lifelong favorite of Anderson’s, and the singer made six appearances on the sitcom Night Court as Judge Stone, who was also a Tormé devotee. The fact that Anderson and his character were both Tormé fans was just a coincidence, according to Night Court creator Reinhold Weege. At the singer’s funeral in 1999, Anderson was one of the speakers who gave eulogies.
