The relationship between Hilary Swank and Philip Schneider has reached a new level of significance: the couple is expecting a child. The actress made the joyous announcement on the October 5 episode of Good Morning America that she is expecting twins. “This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time, and my next thing is going to be a mom,” Swank stated. “The answer is “yes,” but not just to one question but to two. I refuse to accept it.”
A year and a half into their relationship, Swank and Schneider reportedly got engaged in a secret ceremony in 2016. They had a small, intimate wedding in the California Redwoods in August of 2018. “This was a work that would have stood the test of time. Quite simply, there is no better way to put it “Swank (who was married to Chad Lowe from 1997 to 2007) revealed to Vogue that she had recently married Schneider.
“When I realised I was marrying the guy of my dreams in the midst of so many of the people we care about, I felt an overwhelming sense of appreciation and thanks. It was the fulfilment of a lifelong wish.” In the time since they’ve been together, they’ve hardly been seen in public. Although Schneider proposed to the star of Boys Don’t Cry a year and a half later, in the middle of 2018, he didn’t tell anyone until after the couple’s wedding in August of 2018. She told Vogue at the time, “We don’t know why waited that long!” after the props master proposed in Colorado.
“One evening, Philip got down on one knee in front of the waterfall and proposed; he thoughtfully made sure my dogs were close by so they could be witnesses!” The couple was married in a Carmel, California redwood forest. It was a classic that will last forever. “There is really no other way to put it,” Swank said to the media.
In the midst of this deep setting, I was married to the guy of my dreams, and I felt an overwhelming sense of appreciation and thanks. A lifelong desire realised at last. The Freedom Writers actress was previously married to actor Chad Lowe from 1997 to 2006 before she met Schneider.
Swank started a relationship with her agent, John Campisi, in 2007, but they broke up five years later. She began dating tennis star Ruben Torres in May 2015, and by March of the following year, they had announced their engagement. It was only two months later, though, that Us Weekly reported the couple’s separation.

“It’s so lovely to be able to talk about it and share it,” the Alaska Daily star exclaimed after announcing her pregnancy. Swank said of her pregnancy on Live with Kelly and Ryan: “I’m feeling wonderful right now, even with the time—you know, I’m on Pacific time, so I’m a little cross-eyed with that.” This was shortly after her GMA interview. But right now, I feel great.
She also said that nobody at the Alaska Daily knew she was expecting until she made the announcement on Wednesday when she was well into her second trimester. “But I’ve been growing, and it’s showing in my clothes, so the other day I had to… cut open. In the middle of the mountains, we found this lovely haven,” Swank remarked. There was a breathtaking waterfall that descended to a cluster of log cottages set among towering pines and endless blue sky, all constructed in the nineteenth century. Philip got down on one knee in front of the waterfall and proposed to me one night, and he was so thoughtful that he made sure my dogs were there to see it.
